Moses Hamblin

September 06, 1950 - December 30, 2014

Moses was honorably discharged in 1976 as USAF Chief Master Sergeant stationed at Grand Forks Air Force Base in Grand Forks, North Dakota.


He retired as an art teacher from the Laurel County School System after teaching for 23 years.


He graduated with an AA degree in Art from Sue Bennett College in London KY and with a BA in Art Education from Eastern KY University in Richmond, KY.



He was the current Commander of the E.F. Arthur Camp 1783 (Orphan Brigade) Sons of Confederate Veterans, Commander of the Cumberland Brigade and a member of the Mountain Heritage Art Guild.


He won many awards for his woodcarving and art work as a luthier, woodcarver, musician, artist and blacksmith. He participated in Civil War re-enactments at Camp Wildcat among other places. and enjoyed giving living history presentations at area schools.

 
 

Randal S. Landen
July 10, 1930 - June 28, 2021

Randal was born in the Pacific Northwest and enlisted in the US Navy in 1946.  In 1965 he formed Landen Associates and retired from Government Service in 1980.


He was recalled to service in 1987 and served again till 1991 as a Military Advisor.  In 1990 he formed LANDTEC and was a registered Defense Contractor as a "Favored" Supplier to our military and law enforcement.  He served on the American Security Council Advisory Board from 1989 through 1994.

Randal was a lifetime member of the US Naval Institute.

He is survived by his wife, 4 children, 6 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
